Doctor of Medicine is a 3 year post graduate degree in the domain of medicine commonly known as MD. The course is considered as the practical orientation of the MBBS program with research basis. A candidate who successfully completes the MD degree is called a specialist in the particular field of study. In India the Medical Council of India (MCI) controls and monitors the MD course. A large number of medical schools and institutions across the country offer this course to the aspirants.

Eligibility Criteria for MD program

Only those candidates holding the MBBS degree from a reputed medical college approved by MCI are eligible for the MD program. The candidates should have a clear understanding in the different non surgical areas of Medicine like, Radiology, Internal Medicine, pathology etc. Only those candidates who have fulfilled or who are in the final stage of the internship after the MBBS program are eligible to apply for the MD program.

Admission Procedure for MD program

The admission process is based on the entrance examination conducted at national or university level. Some institute conducts their own common entrance test for the post graduate program in medicine. The qualified candidates of these written examinations are short listed for the final interview round and counseling process for the purpose of admission.



Master of Science (M.Sc) is a postgraduate level program offered in a majority of colleges and universities in India, providing advanced theoretical as well as practical knowledge in a range of specialized Science fields – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Nursing, etc. The duration of a Master of Science programme is usually two years in Indian universities/ colleges, the duration of the programme depends on the M.Sc. specialization selected by candidates and the policy of the respective college/ university.

Eligibility   graduates from a recognized college with a minimum cut off percentage preferably in Science stream. There is usually no age limit to join the course.



The MBBS is the only course in India to become a medical doctor. The MBBS course contains the basic subjects like physiologybiochemistrymicrobiology,anatomypharmacology and pathology. It is the course with hands on training with five years long.

Course & Duration

The MBBS is a 5.5 year (4.5 years academic education + 1 year mandatory internship) UG degree programme leading to the two degrees as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

The MBBS is one of the most sought course after 12th science in medical field. There are so many colleges and universities from across the countries which are offering the MBBS course.

The students, who have cleared the 10+2 examination and they had the Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th stream, may go for the MBBS degree course.



B.D.S. or Bachelor of Dental Surgery is an undergraduate Dentistry course. Theduration of Bachelor of Dental Surgery course is 4-5 years of study with internship and without internship, Manipal College of Dental Sciences offers the course in the mentioned formats. The B.D.S. course is divided into 2 or more semesters.

The Under-graduate Course, Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is of 5½ years duration (4½ years of the main course and 1 year internship). The main course is divided into 3 Professional Courses of 1½ yearsduration each. ... The annual admission capacity to BAMS is 92.

The basic requirement for the eligibility to get the admission to BAMS programme is qualifying the 10+2 examination with science stream. The candidate must have the physics, chemistry and biology in 12thclass. The candidate should have to go through the national level entrance examination like NEET 2018(National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test). Candidates also apply for state level examinations such as:

  • OJEE 2018 (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination)
  • KEAM 2018 (Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical)
  • GCET 2018 (Goa Common Entrance Test)

The selection of the candidate is based on the final merit as the sum of the total numbers obtained in the qualifying examination as 12th and the number scored in the entrance examinations.



BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) is an undergraduate degree programme in medical field. This degree covers the medical knowledge of the homeopathic system. After completing this degree you are eligible to become a doctor in the homeopathic medical field. The degree holder is eligible to have the prefix as a doctor, the abbreviation is Dr.

Homeopathy is the system of alternative medicines. The patients are taken care by enhancing the natural healing power of the human body. The concept of homeopathy is that the body rejuvenates itself because of its self-healing power. We just need to help it by enhancing the natural healing power.

Eligibility & Admission

The basic requirement for the eligibility to get the admission to BHMS programme is qualifying the 10+2 examination with 50% marks. The candidate must have the physicschemistry and biology in 12th class. The candidate should have to go through the different national and state level entrance examination. The candidate should have minimum 17 years old. Some states conduct the entranceexaminations along with the MBBS and BDS test.

The selection of the candidate is based on the final merit as the sum of the total numbers obtained in the qualifying examination in 12th and the number scored in the entrance examinations followed by the personal interview.
